Description:

Position Overview: We seek a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will focus on managing payables, banking activities, and financial reporting within our multifaceted organization. This role is crucial in supporting our operations across the Life Support, Construction, Supply Chain, Fuel Supply, Risk Management, Automotive, Logistics, and Transportation sectors. An MBA in Finance is preferred.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Payables Management:

• Oversee the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices.

• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.

• Maintain and manage vendor relationships to ensure favorable terms and efficient service.

Banking Activities:

• Handle daily banking operations, including monitoring account balances and managing bank reconciliations.

• Coordinate with banks for transactional activities, loan facilities, and other financial services.

• Ensure compliance with banking regulations and company policies.

Financial Reporting:

• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.

• Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.

• Conduct variance analysis and report findings to senior management.

Compliance and Audit:

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

• Assist in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support.

• Process Improvement:

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.

• Stay updated with industry best practices and changes in financial regulations.

 

 

 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; an MBA in Finance is preferred.

• CPA or relevant professional certification is a plus.

• Experience in SAGE X3 would be an added advantage.

• Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, focusing on payables, banking, and financial reporting.

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
