Description:
The Agreement & Compliance Manager at General Motors Middle East plays a crucial role in managing and overseeing the legal and operational agreements with GM's dealer network. This position leads the growth and enhancement of our business operations with dealers, ensures compliance with GM’s policies, issues breach notices when necessary, and manages approvals for dealer expansions, new sub-dealer appointments, and trader agreements. The role also involves maintaining comprehensive profiles of all dealers within the network.
What You'll Do:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following areas:
- Dealer Business Relationship Enhancement and Development
- Build and maintain strong relationship with dealer.
- Develop and implement strategics plans to achieve business growth, conduct market research and analysis to identify.
- Analyze current business process and challenges and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to streaming operations and determine process to accelerate business procedures.
- Dealer Agreement Management:
- Draft, review, and negotiate Dealer Sales and Service Agreement (DSSA), ensuring alignment with GM's vision, standards and legal requirements.
- Ensure all dealer agreements are up-to-date and accessible.
- Manage renewals, amendments, and terminations of dealer agreements.
- Drafting and implementation of letters, Letter Agreements and LOI’s as required
- Compliance Oversight:
- Monitor dealer activities to ensure compliance with GM’s policies and contractual obligations.
- Issue breach notices to dealers violating agreement terms and manage the resolution process.
- Work closely with legal and compliance teams to address any legal issues or non-compliance.
- Expansion and Appointment Approvals:
- Evaluate and process applications for dealership expansions.
- Manage the approval process for appointing new sub-dealers and traders.
- Ensure all new appointments meet GM’s strategic and operational criteria.
- Dealer Profiles Maintenance:
- Develop and maintain detailed profiles for each dealer, including performance metrics, compliance status, and contract history.
- Ensure all dealer information is accurately recorded in GM’s systems and regularly updated.
- Provide regular reports on dealer network status to senior management.
- Stakeholder Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for dealer agreement and breach / compliance inquiries.
- Coordinate with internal teams, including legal, finance, and operations, to support dealer network management.
- Facilitate effective communication between GM and its dealer network to foster strong business relationships.
- Maintain contact with North America counterparts to understand evolving network policies and strategies.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement improvements in the dealer agreement and compliance processes.
- Stay informed about local franchise laws, industry best practices and regulatory changes affecting dealer network management.

Your Skills & Abilities:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree (e.g., MBA) preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in contract management, compliance, or related roles within the automotive industry.
- Proven track record in managing dealer or franchise networks.
