Description:
Apt Resources is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Animal Caretaker to join our esteemed client, the Royal Palace. As an Animal Caretaker, you will be responsible for the daily care and well-being of a variety of animals in our client's prestigious Royal Palace. Your main goal will be to ensure that the animals are provided with a clean, safe, and enriched environment, and that their physical and emotional needs are met.
In this role, you will contribute to the overall health and happiness of the animals by performing various tasks, including:
- Feeding and providing water to the animals according to their dietary needs
- Cleaning and maintaining animal enclosures and living areas
- Monitoring the animals' behavior and health, and reporting any concerns to the supervisor
- Assisting with basic veterinary care, such as administering medications or treatments
- Providing enrichment activities to promote the animals' physical and mental well-being
- Interacting with the animals to build trust and establish positive relationships
- Assisting in educational programs or public events to raise awareness about animal care and conservation
- Collaborating with other team members to ensure a seamless operation and excellent animal care
Requirements
- Previous experience working with animals, preferably in a zoo or animal sanctuary
- Passion for animal welfare and conservation
- Knowledge of animal behavior, nutrition, and basic medical care
- Ability to work with a wide range of animals, including mammals, birds, reptiles, and more
- Physical fitness and ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects and working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including weekends and holidays
- Attention to detail and a strong sense of responsibility
