Responsible for daily design or technical development of projects. Coordinates all aspects of the project document development and delivery and collaborates with all integrated design project team members to produce quality work products while adhering to project schedules, project budgets and work plans.

Key Performance Measures
- Develops technical solutions to design challenges with creativity, design excellence and a highly disciplined work ethic.
- Integrates QA/QC, practice standards and DLR Group protocols. Workswith PMs to coordinate project teams.
- Assists with maintaining project schedule and coordination of project deliverables.

Core Responsibilities
Architecture Discipline
- Provide planning, design and coordination of different size projects up to large complex projects.
- Independently apply advanced architectural concepts and designs as well as carry out complex or novel assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques and procedures.
- Coordinate drawings and specifications directly with the specification writer and assistin preparing sections as assigned.
- Review cost estimates for alignment with the design.
- Provide technical guidance to less experienced design / architectural staff.
Design and Technical Acumen
- Responsible for applying Group practice standards to project deliverables across the project team.
- Demonstrate a strong foundation of comprehensive design and technical skillsets.
- Engage and guide innovative idea generation within the integrated team in pursuit of design excellence.
Coordination
- Ensure BIM standards are applied to projects and coordinate with PM, BIM Manager and other members of the integrated project design teams.
- Ensure QA/QC procedures are met, and clash detection issues are resolved.
- Translate design intent and thought leadership concepts into documentation.
Communication and Collaboration
- Actively lead collaboration at project and integrated team level by generating design ideas and solutions.
- Effectively communicate with project team members through timely and appropriate written, oral and visual means.
- Engage peers and specialty experts to proactively develop holistic solutions.
- Participate in client presentations.
Project Schedule, Delivery, and Profitability
- Meet deliverable deadlines to maintain overall project schedule.
- Manage time in alignment with project workplan.
- Understand construction and material costs in alignment with project budget.
Minimum Qualifications
AR.2 must have a comprehensive understanding of technical knowledge and the ability to coordinate and contribute to the design process in developing technical solutions. Must be collaborative, detail-oriented, organized and a strong communicator.
Education:
- Undergraduate Degree in Architecture.
- A graduate degree is not required (unless required by jurisdiction’s definition of an accredited degree for licensure).
Experience: Six years minimum of professional experience.
