Description:
The Audiovisual Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining audiovisual systems and technologies for various applications. This role involves working closely with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure high-quality AV experiences and seamless operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and design AV system configurations for new installations or upgrades.
- Oversee the installation of AV equipment, ensuring all components are properly set up and calibrated.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their AV needs and recommend suitable solutions.
- System Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
- Perform regular maintenance on AV systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to AV equipment and software.
- Provide on-site and remote support to address any AV-related problems.
- Manage AV projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Coordinate with project teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
- Documentation & Training:
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for AV system designs, configurations, and maintenance procedures.
- Train end-users and internal staff on the operation and troubleshooting of AV systems.
- Innovation & Improvement:
- Stay current with the latest AV technologies and industry trends.
- Propose improvements and upgrades to enhance AV systems and services.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Audiovisual Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an AV Engineer or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of AV equipment, including projectors, screens, microphones, and control systems.
- Experience with AV software and control systems (e.g., Crestron, AMX, Extron).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CTS, CTS-D) are a plus.
