Automotive Electrician

Description:

Job Responsibilities:-

- Perform diagnostic electrical tests as needed and propose solutions.

- Repair or replace faulty ignition, electrical wiring, fuses, lamps and switches

- Servicing of electrical automotive parts.

- Determine malfunction of electrical system by visual inspection or by using of testing devices, like oscilloscope, voltmeter, ammeter and any appropriate tools

- Build custom engine & body harnesses

- Service, identify and repair faults on electronically controlled vehicle systems such as electronic fuel injection, electronic ignition, anti-lock braking, cruise control, automatic transmission, airbags and air conditioning

- Install electrical equipment such as gauges, lighting, alternators and starter motors in vehicles

- Install electrically operated accessories such as radios, lights, air conditioners, driving lamps and anti-theft systems

- Refer to circuit diagrams, and use test instruments to find electrical faults

- Test, recondition and replace faulty alternators, starter motors and related items such as voltage regulators and batteries

- Maintaining a clean working environment.

Required Skills:-

- Advanced knowledge of modern vehicular electrical systems.

- Knowledge of fundamentals of electrical wiring & electrical circuits

- Able to identify, diagnose & Repair electrical circuits

- Ability to operate electronic diagnostic Tools

- Ability to diagnose electrical malfunctions within automotive systems

- Prior work experience as an Auto Electrician.

- Strong attention to detail

- Analytical skills

- Ability to install automotive electrical systems

- Complex electrical problem-solving skills.

- Good communication skills.
