Description:
The BDM is a strategic and semi-operational role within the company. The Business Development Manager will identify, establish and develop effective and sustainable business partnerships with new and existing client organizations that fit with the company’s marketing strategy, positioning and operational capabilities and driving sales of web development, mobile applications, and digital marketing services. The BDM will play a central role both in the development of new business opportunities and maintaining excellent relationships with existing clients to promote profitable growth for the company and deliver demonstrable value to clients.
WHAT YOU’LL DO?
NEW BUSINESS
- Qualifying and responding to in-bound leads generated by the company’s marketing activity
- Identifying business opportunities that fit with IDS Logic’s technological capabilities. It is expected that this effort will be pro-actively focused on building partnerships with digital agencies to build new streams of continuing business for the company, though the BDM will also be involved in developing new business opportunities with direct end clients.
- Leading pitches to new and assigned existing clients.
ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT
- Helping clients to shape their development strategy by advocating and explaining the company’s technological capabilities aligned to client objectives; spotting opportunities for win-wins for the company and the client.
- Working with the appointed project manager/s based in the UK and India teams to ensure that all project requirements and expectations are clearly understood so that they can be acted upon effectively by the appointed project manager during project delivery.
- Monitoring activity on all assigned accounts to maintain contact, rapport and engagement with designated clients and where necessary trouble-shooting and resolving any client concerns.
SOLUTION DESIGN
- Assessing client requirements on assigned accounts / leads and ensuring these are clearly captured and documented at the initial stages of a project.
- Working with the relevant company team members to define solutions to client requirements and ensure that a clear project scope is defined and sensibly estimated with boundaries clearly defined.
MARKETING
- Helping to shape the company’s market position in the market through active contributions to marketing strategy, planning and deliverables [working alongside the COO and Marketing and Communications LEAD]
- Attending selected marketing and networking events on behalf of the company
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong knowledge and understanding of web development and mobile app technologies with minimum 4+years of experience.
- Proven experience in business development and sales, preferably in the IT industry
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to identify and generate new business opportunities
- Experience in managing client relationships and driving sales
- Knowledge of CMS development, web hosting solutions, and digital marketing
- Proficiency in Sitefinity, Magento, SharePoint, Dot Net, Moodle, Umbraco, WordPress, Drupal, Joomla
