Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team and spearhead efforts to acquire new clients in the IT services domain. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and closing opportunities in Cloud Services, Managed IT Services, Cybersecurity, and Digital Workplace Solutions (DWP). This role requires a strong understanding of IT services and a passion for helping organizations transform their technology landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
New Client Acquisition:
- Identify potential clients and markets for IT services, focusing on untapped industries or regions.
- Build and execute a strategic plan to win new business and establish long-term relationships.
- Conduct market research to identify customer needs, competition, and emerging trends.
Sales and Lead Generation:
- Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline using tools like Salesforce or HubSpot.
- Generate leads through networking, events, cold calls, emails, and digital marketing.
- Qualify opportunities to ensure alignment with the company’s service offerings and capabilities.
Proposal Development and Closing:
- Collaborate with pre-sales, technical, and marketing teams to create tailored proposals and presentations.
- Conduct product/service demonstrations, highlighting key benefits and ROI for the client.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with key decision-makers (CXOs, IT Directors, etc.).
- Act as a primary point of contact for new clients during onboarding and ensure seamless handover to account management teams.
Market and Industry Expertise:
- Stay up-to-date on trends in cloud computing, managed services, cybersecurity, and digital workplace solutions.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to expand its presence.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with internal teams (marketing, pre-sales, delivery) to ensure client requirements are met and expectations exceeded.
- Provide feedback to product and service teams to enhance offerings based on market demand.
Key Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field (MBA preferred).
Experience:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in IT services.
- Proven track record of acquiring new clients and meeting/exceeding sales targets.
- Experience in selling IT services such as Cloud Solutions, Managed IT Services, Cybersecurity, and DWP.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud technologies, managed services, and cybersecurity solutions.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
- Ability to manage multiple clients and opportunities simultaneously.
