Description:
Partnered with an ultra-luxury resort in Dubai, we are seeking a talented and experienced Chef de Cuisine. The Chef de Cuisine will be responsible for leading the culinary team and ensuring the highest quality of food, as well as setting and maintaining food standards, purchasing supplies, and managing the kitchen budget.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate leadership and excellent communication skills to oversee and manage the kitchen team
- Develop, create and update menus regularly with seasonal ingredients, innovative flavour combinations, and contemporary presentations
- Maintain and execute all standards for food preparation, presentation, and hygiene, following HACCP regulations
- Effectively manage food quality, control food cost and waste, and maintain inventory levels
- Train and develop the culinary team by conducting regular trainings, coaching, and performance evaluations
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitive market conditions to maintain a competitive edge
Requirements
- At least 3-5 years of experience as a Chef de Cuisine in a 5-star luxury hotel or resort
- Experience with Mediterranean cuisine is a must
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
- Knowledge of leading food hygiene and safety practices, including HACCP regulations
- A degree or diploma in Culinary Arts or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Passion for food, creativity and innovation with the ability to create inspiring menus with seasonal ingredients
