Description:
A well-established group of companies in Dubai – UAE is looking for an experienced Chief Accountant / Head of Finance to undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, as well as financial risk management.
You are expected to perform accounting roles that include but not limited to:
- Oversee the development and the updating of financial and accounting policies and procedures for the organization.
- Supervise and review the budgets of the organization, analyze and integrate them to provide recommendations to the Directors.
- Develop a mechanism for increasing financial revenues and set the appropriate framework and methodology
- Review and audit periodic financial reports for the organization and provide recommendations.
- Direct and rationalize the financial expenditure of the organization's subsidiaries and measure the financial performance.
- Well-versed in creation of profitability reports for Company Divisions / Departments.
- Ensure accounting procedures effectiveness
- Ensure availability of policies and procedures for the financial governance
- Maintain and periodically reconcile general ledger accounts
- Manage the organization's annual budget and administer periodic financial reporting
- Manage, administer and validate all accounts payables and accounts receivables
- Direct the administration and payment of the organization's vendors and partners.
- Work towards enhancing the features of ERP system for elaborate financial reporting.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Finance
- Professional accounting and/or finance qualification (e.g., CPA, CA, CMA, CIMA)
- Fluency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- 5-8 years' of experience in budgeting, financial management and building financial models in the Middle East
- Good knowledge and hands on accounting software packages.
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong awareness of non-technical accounting matters (corporate finance,, tax, legal, etc.)
