Description:

 

  • 8+ Years of Experience: In accounting, finance, and strategy within the oil & gas or power sectors.
  • Infrastructure Finance Expertise: Proven experience in managing large infrastructure finance in a joint venture (JV) context.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field from an accredited university.
  • Energy Finance Knowledge: Familiarity with energy financing structures is preferred.
  • Leadership Skills: Experience managing teams in accounting, treasury, audits, and finance. Prior roles as a CFO or Finance Manager are highly desirable.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of IFRS, financial analysis, business analysis, and cost control.
  • Communication Skills: Fluent in English with excellent written and oral communication.
  • Presentation and Negotiation: Strong skills in these areas.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze and recommend solutions to complex financial issues.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficient in using spreadsheets and database applications.
  • Team Management: Experience in leading small teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Oversight: Manage all finance, accounting, treasury, reporting, admin, and IT functions.
  • Billing and Collections: Oversee billing and collection processes.
  • Risk Management: Monitor risk and administer insurance policies, providing annual reports to the Board.
  • Performance Analysis: Report on project performance, compliance, tax, insurance, budgeting, internal controls, and risk management.
  • Contract Management: Review contracts, coordinate purchase orders, and support dispute resolution with the plant team.
  • Cost Monitoring: Track project costs, provide feedback, and report updates to the MD and shareholders.
  • Financial Planning: Lead financial forecasting activities.
  • Policy Compliance: Ensure adherence to financial and accounting controls and project company policies.
  • Hiring and Procurement: Manage hiring and purchasing decisions.
  • Board Reporting: Prepare financial reports for Board meetings and attend to support the MD with clarifications.
  • Negotiation and Documentation: Participate in drafting and negotiating term sheets, agreements, and financing documents.
  • Stakeholder Relations: Maintain relationships with shareholders, investment bankers, and advisors.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with commercial and financial requirements of project documents and regulations.
