Description:
As the COO, you will be responsible for managing the company's operations and ensuring seamless project delivery. This role requires a seasoned leader with significant experience in civil engineering and construction management. The COO will report directly to the CEO and collaborate with senior management to formulate strategies, optimize operations, and ensure the successful completion of projects within budget, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with company goals, focusing on growth, profitability, and operational efficiency.
- Project Oversight: Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of construction projects, ensuring they meet all legal, safety, and quality standards.
- Operational Management: Supervise daily operations across all construction projects. Manage resources, timelines, budgets, and manpower allocation to optimize productivity.
- Autocad & Technical Review: Lead and oversee technical review processes, ensuring the proper use of AutoCAD and other design tools in project plans, layouts, and blueprints.
- Team Management: Manage senior project managers, engineers, architects, and other key personnel to ensure effective coordination across departments.
- Risk Management: Identify operational risks, including legal, financial, and safety-related risks, and create strategies to mitigate these risks.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure collaboration and clear communication.
- Performance Monitoring: Develop and implement performance metrics to measure efficiency, quality, and profitability on projects.
- Budgeting & Cost Control: Review financial reports, track budgets, and enforce cost-control measures throughout the lifecycle of construction projects.
- Compliance & Regulatory Oversight: Ensure compliance with local regulations, Dubai construction standards, and international best practices.
- Process Improvement: Continuously assess operational workflows and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 20 years of experience in civil engineering and construction project management.
- At least 10 years of experience in senior management roles within the Dubai construction sector.
- Proven experience managing large-scale, complex projects, including residential, commercial, and infrastructure developments.
- Strong experience with AutoCAD, project planning tools, and construction management software.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in AutoCAD and other design tools, with the ability to review and provide technical feedback on blueprints and design documents.
- Deep understanding of construction practices, engineering design principles, and project management methodologies.
- Familiarity with Dubai construction codes and regulations.
- Leadership Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Exceptional decision-making and problem-solving skills, with a focus on operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Language Skills: Fluent in English; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.

- Strong financial acumen, including experience with budgeting, forecasting, and cost management.
