About the Role – Cloud Security Architect
As a Cloud Security Architect, you will own and drive the development and implementation of a holistic, agile, and pragmatic IT Security Strategy. Your responsibilities include:
- Developing and updating security standards, architectures, and roadmaps aligned with business strategies.
- Evaluating, selecting, and implementing new security tools and technologies.
- Acting as a subject matter expert for security products and infrastructure.
- Conducting red teaming, penetration tests, and vulnerability assessments to enhance security controls.
- Leading the adoption of secure cloud computing across Azure, AWS, and GCP platforms.
- Designing and implementing cloud-native security controls and zero-trust network defences.
- Executing advanced penetration tests in both cloud and traditional environments.
- Performing threat modeling on complex systems and integrations.
- Automating security control enforcement to support DevSecOps initiatives.
- Driving secure software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes to minimise security defects.
- Engaging with business stakeholders to promote security awareness.
- Developing Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and dashboards for security metrics.
Ideal Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (required).
- Relevant Information Security certifications (preferred): OSCP, CISSP, CCSP, AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Security Engineer, SANS, etc.
- Technical certifications in Azure, AWS, Cisco, Palo Alto, Sentinel, or Tenable (preferred).
- Several years of experience in security roles within financial institutions or other highly regulated industries.
- Development experience or familiarity with common programming languages (nice-to-have).
- Proven expertise across a broad range of security technologies and cloud platforms.
- Experience with penetration testing, red team assessments, and stakeholder management.
- Strong knowledge of security metrics, KPIs, and risk indicators presented through dashboards.
- Recognised as an industry expert in security technologies, threats, and best practices.
