Compliance Counsel

Description:

As the Compliance Counsel, you will provide critical compliance and legal advice and support to General Motors International, in connection with our activities in Central Asia, including Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. A key business partner consisting of both attorney and non attorney professionals, expect to drive GM’s success by combining both compliance and business expertise and understanding our operations and strategic goals.

This role will primarily support the Lead Counsel and Regional Compliance Officer for General Motors International related activities.

Responsibilities include:
 

• Managing detailed due diligence reviews of proposed business partners
• Supporting the work for compliance committees, including preparing ad delivering the agenda and content, follow up on action items, and provide significant working level support for the actions of the committee.
• Coordinating training and communications for personnel on relevant compliance topics, organizing leadership integrity messages are issued from the GM leadership.
• Leading evaluation of business proposals and current business activities to ensure appropriate compliance profile of key relationships.
• Leading compliance related audit and monitoring activities, and addressing issues as they arise, to support the optimal implementation of audit action plans. In addition, the compliance counsel will support monitoring of the business, as appropriate, in terms of regular business activities within the purview of GM’s contractual arrangements with key partners.
