Position: Corporate Communication, Public Affairs & ERM Advisor
Location: Dubai
JOB PURPOSE:
Under the direct supervision of the Corporate Communications, Public Affairs & Sustainability Director, the role is to coordinate, support & facilitate internal & external public relations & communications strategy with the goal to strengthen Cemex’s market position in UAE.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
- Identifying & updating key stakeholders.
- Managing corporate relationships with key institutional stakeholders including government bodies.
- Advisor to Management on stakeholders’ interactions & key messages
- Collaborate with Management to develop & implement an effective communications strategy based on our target audience & liaise with the Management about budgets & timescales involved & the objectives to be achieved.
- Provide Management with information about new promotional opportunities & current PR campaigns progress & continuous improvement in the strategies applied.
- Act as a liaison between the organization, the public, & the media to ensure that Cemex as a brand remains top of mind in the market.
- Coordinate & facilitate ongoing internal & external Public Affairs & communication activities.
- Participate in building & maintaining a network of relations & flow of information within global Cemex.
- Write, edit, & distribute content, including publications, press releases, website content & other marketing material that communicates the organization’s activities, products & services.
- Establish & maintain effective relationships with any form of media & maintain a media database.
- Maintain records of media coverage & collate analytics & metrics.
- Ensure digital marketing content aligns with our brand’s identity & message & assist with marketing campaigns as needed.
- Seek opportunities to enhance the reputation of Cemex in the market & coordinate publicity events as required.
- Support the market intelligence activities focusing on economic & market information, Enterprise Risk Management, customer profiling & analysis.
Minimum Requirements:
- Education / Professional Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, Journalism, PR, Marketing or related field.
- At least 5 years’ work experience in a similar role.
Job-Specific Competencies /Operational Knowledge:
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of Associated Press writing style guide.
- An ability to work on big strategy plans as well as day-to-day tasks.
- Ability to think both creatively & strategically.
- Ability to run PR campaigns that deliver measurable results & meet objectives.
- Understanding of social media & solid experience working with digital platforms.
- Project & budget management skills.
