Cost Engineer

Description:

WeConnect Energy is currently recruiting for an experienced Cost Engineer on a contract basis for our client, an energy company in the UAE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and controlling costs associated with engineering and construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered within budget and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities
 

• Develop and maintain project cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts for international gas and LNG projects.
• Monitor and analyse project expenditures, identifying cost variances and implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to review cost reports and ensure accuracy.
• Prepare and review cost-related documentation, including change orders, claims, and financial reports.
• Coordinate with procurement teams to track and control costs related to materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Conduct cost analysis and provide recommendations to optimize project spending.
• Ensure compliance with contractual agreements and financial regulations.
