Customer Service Executive

 

Description:

You will be managing shipments from customer enquiry to placing an order and keeping the customer updated on the status of the shipment. Your experience within Freight forwarding is key to this role. Ideally you will have customer service or Sales support experience liaising with customers – via phone, email and processing orders.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing key customers (Air/ Sea ) - Exports and Imports
  • Customer service – Assist with enquiries, process orders and rates.
  • Negotiating rates with Airlines / Cargo / Shipments
  • Expedite customer orders for LCL, FCL, trans-shipment into Abu Dhabi region.
  • Order status management – Update system, provide weekly status reports to clients
  • Liaising with overseas offices/agents on a daily basis via email/phone
  • Preparing quotations as required
  • Work closely with operations, monitoring the shipments to ensure they move as booked

 

To be considered:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Customer Service and pricing (liase with customers over telephone and email, processing orders/enquires)
  • Pricing and Rate Negotiations with Airlines / Cargo and Sea route is mandatory
  • Hindi /Tamil speaking skills would be an advantage.
  • Freight forwarding/Transport experience in UAE Region.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft skills – Excel
