Description:
The main responsibilities will include:
- Determine and apply the appropriate machine-learning techniques using all types of data sources.
- Continuously monitor model performance, validate, and refine models to ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Ensure data integrity and quality throughout the data lifecycle by implementing data governance best practices.
- Provide actionable recommendations based on data insights to optimise processes, improve operational efficiency, and drive revenue growth.
- Develop dashboards and reports to monitor and track business performance.
- Create reports and presentations to effectively communicate data-driven insights to stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and advancements in data science, machine learning, and analytics domains by conducting research and attending forums, seminars, and training.
To be successful you will need to meet the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Physics, Mathematics, or similar.
- Minimum of 2 – 4 years experience in data science.
- Familiarity with advanced analytics techniques and big data technology such as Hadoop and hands-on experience in business/data analysis.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, Scala, and/or R.
- Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as Tableau, QliK Sense, SAS VA, etc.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis, predictive modeling, data mining techniques, and machine learning algorithms.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication in English.
