Data Architect

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced and innovative Data Architect to design and manage our organization's data architecture framework. The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining how data is collected, stored, and accessed across the organization to support business goals and analytics. This role requires a deep understanding of data management, cloud technologies, and advanced database systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Architecture Design:

• Develop and implement the overall data architecture strategy, including data models, data flow diagrams, and integration frameworks.
• Define standards and best practices for data storage, access, and management.

• Database and System Development:

• Design and maintain scalable, secure, and efficient database solutions.
• Collaborate with IT teams to implement and optimize databases, data warehouses, and big data platforms.

• Data Integration and Management:

• Oversee the integration of data from multiple sources into a unified platform.
• Design ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure seamless data flow.

• Collaboration with Stakeholders:

• Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business leaders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Provide architectural guidance for data-intensive projects.

• Data Security and Governance:

• Implement data governance policies to ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
• Design and enforce security measures to protect sensitive data.

• Performance Optimization:

• Optimize data systems for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in data pipelines and storage systems.

• Technology Evaluation:

• Evaluate and recommend new tools, technologies, and frameworks to enhance data architecture.
• Stay updated with trends in data engineering, big data, and cloud computing.

• Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain comprehensive documentation for data architecture, including system designs and operational guidelines.
• Report on data architecture performance and suggest improvements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Data Architect or in a similar role.
• Expertise in data modeling, database design, and data integration.
• Proficiency in database management systems (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and data warehousing tools (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift).
• Familiarity with big data platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong understanding of ETL processes, API integrations, and data governance.
• Proficiency in SQL and programming languages such as Python or Java.
