Hiring Desktop & Server Support Officer
Location: Dubai
Experience: 4 yrs – 5 yrs in UAE preferably
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Desktop/Server Support Specialist for our client. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in providing technical support for both desktop and server environments. This role will involve troubleshooting, maintenance, and optimization of our IT infrastructure to ensure seamless operations
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices.
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and software applications.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, both remotely and onsite.
- Perform regular maintenance tasks, including updates, patches, and system backups.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
- Monitor system performance and proactively identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve complex technical issues.
- Document procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
- Provide training and support to end-users as needed.
Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 4-5 years of experience in desktop and server support roles.
- Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
- Knowledge of networking principles and protocols.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician) are a plus.
