Description:
Proactively contribute to the growth of Djembe’s digital capability through best practice and in-depth knowledge of the latest trends and developments in the digital sector. The Digital Account Manager (AM) will contribute to strengthening Djembe’s digital offering through the development, implementation, and management of strategic stakeholder and influencer engagement programs for the Consultancy and its clients. Demonstrating a deep aptitude for analytics and reporting, the AM will ensure that the day-to-day management of both Djembe and client deliverables is conducted to the highest standards. Providing both strategic and practical support to the Senior Management Team, the role also requires creativity, innovation, and a consistent desire to stay abreast current practices and emerging trends within the communications industry.
List of duties: The Digital AM will need to manage the below as part of his / her core responsibilities for Djembe and its clients as well as for new business development:
Development of digital and social media content:
- Develop content calendars for multiple social media accounts
- Brief design teams on visual content including animations, podcasts, and short videos
- Support all events (virtual or on-ground) through live posting, including coordination and alignment with third parties
- Schedule posts on social media channels using Hootsuite as well as ad hoc postings as required
- Analyze content performance to recommend adjustments as required
- Manage advertising budgets to boost content in line with pre-determined KPIs
- Recommend thematic campaigns for special projects
- Increase outreach by interacting with stakeholders on social media and maintaining up-to-date influencer lists
Development of digital and social media proposals:
- Prepare social media proposals and strategies
- Review and update existing social media strategies
- Prepare and submit entries for digital industry awards on behalf of Djembe
- Prepare and maintain a database of ready-to-use ideas and concepts
Overseeing of monitoring, reporting & evaluation processes:
- Optimize the utilization digital analytical tools such as NetBase
- Define and monitor KPIs for social media channels
- Conduct periodic performance reviews of digital channels by setting up social listening benchmarks and tools to monitor conversations and sentiment
- Ensure daily social listening to anticipate project or industry crisis
- Develop monthly, quarterly, and yearly KPIs and trends reports
- Facilitate weekly social media calls with teams
- Develop and maintain digital work-in-progress reports
- Supervise social media dashboards
Maintain best practice
- Regular update of Djembe’s social media playbook
- Quick response to crises situations, alerting senior team members to potential crises situations
Job requirements: These requirements below are necessary in order to conduct the role of the Account Manager to the standards required:
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of relevant digital communications experience at a consultancy or similar role in a corporate organization
- Digital Aptitude: In-depth understanding of key digital platforms, applications, and channels and their associated uses as required by Djembe and its client
- Analytical Skills: Use the full range of analytics and digital tools available to devise, review, evaluate and present progress on campaigns and projects, identify gaps and recommend improvements
- Language Skills: Strong English language skills - written, oral and communication
- Content Development: Ability to produce a range of high-quality content, including posts, proposals, scripts and reports for Djembe and clients
- Industry Knowledge: Pro-actively keeps up to date with industry and digital developments and seeks to apply this knowledge in their work
- Creative Thinking: Innovative and creative thinker, with an understanding of how to apply global digital trends for the benefit of Djembe and its clients
- Time management: Ability to manage workload and meet strict and multiple deadlines
- Working Knowledge: Microsoft Office and Outlook
