Director Circularity & Material Innovation

The Director Circularity & Material Innovation is leading the Trelleborg Group effort: “Polymers for Tomorrow” and manage the Circularity Technology Program.

Key focus is the technology advancements in conjunction with the commercial suitability. The position is leading the internal coordination, priority setting and the associated sustainability targets representing Trelleborg to all external parties.

In addition, the Director Circularity and Material Innovation is responsible for the world-wide coordination of advanced method in material development, circular and renewable materials development and compounding optimization, including the usage of Artificial Intelligence, amongst others.

The role reports to Vice President Group Excellence & Sustainability.

Tasks and responsibilities:
 

• Leadership for the Group-wide circularity programs, including coordination and portfolio management of key circularity programs
• External representation of Trelleborg and establishment of science and business networks to accelerate circularity technologies
• Advancing internal and external compounding activities aiming at enhancing performance, quality, and cost

• Performance enhancements in material mixing
