Description:
Our client is looking for a seasoned Director of Business Development to spearhead Management Agreement Acquisitions within the hospitality industry. This position is focused solely on expanding the company’s portfolio. The ideal candidate will play a key role in driving growth, securing new management contracts, and working closely with the CEO. In addition to a competitive salary, the role offers a performance-driven bonus structure.
Key Duties:
- Develop and implement growth strategies aligned with company objectives
- Identify and evaluate business opportunities and partnerships within the hospitality sector
- Conduct market research to stay updated on trends, competitors, and client needs
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including property owners and investors
- Prepare and present proposals, presentations, and negotiations to secure new management contracts
- Collaborate with internal teams for smooth onboarding of new properties
- Monitor business development activities and report progress to senior management
- Provide weekly and monthly performance reports to all relevant stakeholders
Core Responsibilities:
- Target and engage potential clients for portfolio acquisitions, focusing on hotels and related services
- Conduct site evaluations for new management contracts
- Manage the full business development process from initial contact to contract closure
- Work with internal teams to align strategies with operational goals
- Partner with marketing to create promotional materials and strategies
- Attend industry events and conferences to boost visibility and explore new opportunities
- Ensure business development efforts support the company’s strategic objectives
Compliance & Legal Duties:
- Ensure all activities comply with local, national, and international laws
- Collaborate with the legal team on contracts and negotiations
- Maintain detailed records of all business development activities
- Conduct due diligence for acquisitions, including financial and risk assessments
- Update senior management on legal and regulatory developments impacting business development
Essential Qualifications:
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development within the GCC hospitality sector, specifically focused on portfolio expansion (excluding B2B or B2C commercial work).
- Demonstrated success in securing management agreements and driving portfolio growth.
- Extensive network within the GCC hospitality market.
- Valid UAE driver’s license is required.
- Arabic language skills are highly preferred.
- Must be open to regular travel across the GCC, MEA, and other designated regions.
