Description:
This position requires the ability to stand and walk for an entire shift; handle and work with animal ambassadors including mammals, birds, Reptiles and some aquatic species. Lift, push and pull 15kg; and work in varying shifts/hours based on business need, to include opening, mid-, and closing shifts; weekends, and holidays.
Job scope includes:
- Proactively interacts to all guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Delivers the education facts on the assigned attraction/exhibit
- Maintains theme park’s knowledge to provide updated information to the guests
- Handles guests concerns and queries, provide appropriate resolution, and available and achievable service recovery as needed
- Prepares educational materials and maintains its professional appearance
- Ensures all departmental checklists are consistently completed and informs line manager for any tasks that requires action
- Fosters a culture of human and animal safety by following all safety policies and practices in accordance with HSE policy and department’s SOPs
- Promotes products, services and activities available to the guests
- Completes all required trainings and maintains professional development and competencies
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of the workplace for designated areas
- Performs other duties as assigned
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- High School Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- 1 year of experience in customer service
- Experience in zoological and/or theme park setting is a plus
- Outgoing personality
- Excellent skills in customer/guest interaction
- Excellent English communication skills, verbal and written
- Basic knowledge of educational principles and instructional design models
- Basic computer skills, including MS Office applications
