Employment Lawyer

Description:

Working across a range of non-contentious and contentious matters, your responsibilities will include:

- Handling initial client inquiries regarding various employment-related issues.

- Assessing the scope of new instructions and providing clients with accurate fee estimates.

- Providing guidance to clients on the potential outcomes of court proceedings in contentious matters, suggesting settlement options and collaborating with colleagues in the litigation department.

- Offering advice to clients on staff compensation and incentive schemes.

- Advising clients on their compliance obligations under UAE law, including staff registration, employee transfers, salary disbursement and holiday entitlements, as well as maintaining personnel records, ensuring data protection and upholding health and safety standards.

- Assisting companies in the Dubai International Financial Centre free zone with special employment regulations applicable in the zone.

- Contributing to the firm's business development efforts by preparing articles, participating in presentations and attending conferences as well as seminars.

2. Candidate Specification

2.1 Education / Minimum Qualifications

- Strong educational foundation and pertinent professional background.

- Exceptional technical prowess, notable business insight and adeptness in fostering robust client connections.

- Proficiency in English. While Arabic is not obligatory, it could be advantageous if applicable.

2.2 Profile

The successful candidate: -

- Should possess up to 10 years’ PQE with expertise in employment law acquired from a reputable law firm.

- Must demonstrate a solutions-oriented approach, self-motivation and autonomy.

- Essential prerequisites include outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
