Job Overview:

- We are seeking a skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor/Estimator to join our team, specializing in aluminium and metal construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed estimates, cost plans, and bills of quantities for a wide range of projects, including commercial, industrial, and residential buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

Review project plans, specifications, and other project documentation to determine the scope and requirements of the project.

Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for project materials, labour, and equipment, using industry-standard software and tools.

Identify risks and opportunities associated with the project and provide recommendations to minimize costs and improve efficiency.

Work closely with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure that project objectives and timelines are met.

Prepare tender documents and manage the tender process, including liaising with subcontractors and suppliers.

Monitor project costs and provide regular reports to the project team, highlighting any variances or potential issues.

Conduct site visits and assessments to gather information and ensure accurate cost estimates.

Maintain accurate records and documentation for all projects, including change orders and variations.

Formulate a full complied BOQ of all required items.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.

- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quantity surveying and estimating for aluminium and metal construction projects.

- Strong knowledge of industry-specific software and tools, including AutoCAD.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
