Description:
The purpose of this role is to design interactive experiences, with all consideration given to the user and usability best practices and the balancing of those with business goals and technical capabilities. An Experience Designer is a creative problem solver, resolving any challenges a user may have with digital interactions through the use of best practises and proven methodology.
Key responsibilities:
- Works closely with the Experience Design Director and the Senior Experience Designer to produce quality UX work using sketches, interaction models and user journeys, whilst documenting those interactions for visual designers and developers using prototypes or annotated wireframes as relevant.
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams that include visual designers, copywriters, project managers, strategists, developers and QA.
- Creatively supports the effective use of technology and its applications to solve business problems.
- Contributes work to UX/UI deliverables in new business pitches as needed.
- Drives, defines and feeds back on: quality of briefs, regular reviews, feedback channels, creative quality and collaboration.
- Possesses working knowledge of the creative processes and techniques, especially as they pertain to the UX discipline.
Qualifications
- Relevant degrees as Bachelor's or Master's in fields like design, interaction design, graphic design, computer science, industrial design, engineering.
- User Testing: Proficiency in conducting user testing to validate designs.
- Front-End Technologies: Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Design Tools: Experience using tools like Flinto, Axure, and InVision.
- Web-Based Technologies: Understanding of web-based technologies and their impact on design feasibility.
- Previous experience in product manfacturing industries is a must.
