Description:
- Develop a robust and scalable system architecture that supports the delivery of digital messaging and value-added services efficiently.
- Understanding the business requirements, market demands, and customer needs for digital messaging and value-added services.
- Define features, functionalities, and user experience of digital messaging and value-added services, ensuring they meet the expectations of end-users and align with business goals.
- Participates in the tendering process to meet specific requirements and to select appropriate suppliers
- Plan integration of digital messaging and value-added services with existing systems, networks, and infrastructure to ensure seamless operation and data flow.
- Prepare VAS and Messaging Technical Reports and Specifications Document.
- Works on VAS and Messaging projects and implementation phases
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including business leaders, product managers, developers, and end-users, to gather requirements, provide updates, and address any concerns related to digital messaging and value-added services.
Duties & Responsibilities :
- Plans VAS & Messaging capacity requirements and ensuring reliability of the systems.
- Coordinates and controls the preparation of technical specifications for VAS & Messaging systems such as CMS, Anti-Spam, SMS HUB, SMSC, MMSC, VCC, ADC, CBS and more platforms.
- Optimize the performance of digital messaging and value-added services to ensure fast response times, high availability, and minimal downtime.
- Analyzing, interpreting, and evaluating VAS system design and architecture specifications, data models and diagrams in the development, configuration and integration of VAS & Messaging Systems.
- Awareness and assessing network topology and protocols.
- Discuss with vendors, various Etisalat departments and consultants on Planning issues related to A2P as required.
- Keeps abreast of new digital and VAS & Messaging technologies including Cloud, Big data, AI, RCS and Virtualization.
- Implement security measures to protect user data, prevent unauthorized access, and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
- Organizes and controls the integration of VAS & Messaging equipment and systems enhancements into existing Etisalat Core structure
- Assessing and recommending improvements to VAS & Messaging systems.
- Monitor network traffic, activity, capacity and usage to ensure continued integrity and optimal network performance
- Coordinates and controls the preparation of technical specifications for equipment and systems for VAS & Messaging.
- Solve and be part of solution finding with vendors and various Etisalat departments related to issues found on VAS & Messaging systems.
- Participates in tendering and negotiation procedures as required in order to support the implementation of planned technical upgrade/ enhancement initiatives
- Develop and implement testing strategies to verify the functionality, reliability, and performance of digital messaging and value-added services before deployment.
- Coordinates with difference sections to get the required information /data for all types of VAS & Messaging systems.
- Identifying potential risks and vulnerabilities associated with digital messaging and value-added services, and implementing mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on service delivery and user experience.
- Continuously evaluating the performance and user feedback of digital messaging and value-added services, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing enhancements to enhance the overall service quality and user satisfaction.
Knowledge, Experience & Competencies:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Telecommunications/ Electrical/ Computer Engineering or equivalent)
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
