Fashion Design Faculty

IAF is seeking full-time faculty who will contribute to manage and lecture fashion design and management courses offered in the Dubai branch.

International Academy of Fashion (IAF) is a well renowned institution located in the Dubai World Trade Center. It’s mission is to offer fashion professionals to develop their technical and managerial skills and offer the opportunity for fashion entusiasts to build knowledge to develop creative careers. With a specially designed curriculum with professional short courses.

IAF is interested in subject specialists, especially individuals who are multi-disciplinary and have experience and qualifications in fashion design and fashion management. A good understanding of how the fashion industry behaves and it’s future bridging design and technology along with the understanding of regional requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conducting lectures in fashion design and management related subjects.
• Course preparation in module writing based on the given syllabus outlines. (Participate in administrative duties such as writing and developing syllabi, developing curricular material, monitoring student attendance, documenting student learning, detailing program assessment, and submitting grades in timely manner.)
• Support and guide students though the course and projects.
• Manage the activities of the institute in relation to organizing and liasing with the other lecturers.
• Curriculum development for new courses as per to requirements.
• Enhance the visibility of the program through on-and-off institute events. Adhere to best teaching practices, encourage diversity, sustainability, and equity.
• Abide by all relevant institute procedures and policies that align with the KHDA requirements.
• Other duties as assigned by the management.

Qualifications

• Masters level qualification in the field of fashion design or fashion management.
• Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience or professional experience in the fashion or design field.
• Experience in higher education or professional education academic settings, and knowledge of curriculum development, and assessment.
• Ability to teach the basics of fashion design, Pattern making, Fashion marketing & Communication, fashion design and art direction, including drawing, visualizing, and digital skills.
