Description:
We are looking for a seasoned Financial Controller to oversee our client’s accounting, treasury, and financial forecasting functions. The ideal candidate will hold a CA or CPA designation and bring extensive accounting and tax experience, coupled with a strong background in trading systems and balance sheet management. Experience in the cryptocurrency or foreign exchange currency business is mandatory, as is experience with fair market value adjustments. This role is pivotal in ensuring the financial health and regulatory compliance of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting & Financial Reporting:
- Manage all accounting operations, including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements and other relevant financial reports.
- Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
- Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
Treasury Management:
- Oversee and manage daily cash flow to ensure liquidity and operational efficiency.
- Optimize the company's liquidity, investments, and risk management operations.
Financial Forecasting & Budgeting:
- Lead the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts.
- Analyze variances and implement strategies to improve financial performance.
- Provide financial analysis and decision support to senior management.
Tax Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies.
- Prepare tax returns and manage audits.
- Stay updated on current tax regulations and recommend tax strategies.
Trading Systems & Balance Sheet Management:
- Maintain and enhance the efficiency of trading systems.
- Manage the balance sheet, ensuring optimal asset utilization and risk management.
- Develop and monitor key financial metrics and KPIs.
- Ensure accurate fair market value adjustments are recorded and reported.
Qualifications:
- CA or CPA certification is mandatory.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; MBA or Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in accounting, finance, or a related field within the banking or financial industry.
- Strong experience with accounting, tax, and financial reporting.
- Proficient in using trading systems and managing balance sheets.
- Experience in the cryptocurrency or foreign exchange currency experience is mandatory.
- Experience with fair market value adjustments and currency reconciliations are required.
- Excellent knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) or IFRS.
- Experience with financial forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis.

- Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
- High proficiency in financial software and MS Office Suite including Excel, GSheets.
