Description:
The Floor Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of our workshop floor, ensuring that repair and maintenance tasks are performed efficiently, on schedule, and with the highest standards. You'll be responsible for supervising a team of technicians, coordinating work assignments, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. This role requires hands-on knowledge of automotive systems and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Supervise and support workshop technicians, ensuring they follow best practices and complete tasks efficiently.
- Workflow Management: Assign tasks based on skill levels, priority, and workload, ensuring that deadlines and service standards are met.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect completed jobs to ensure all work meets our quality and safety standards.
- Customer Service: Act as a point of contact for customer inquiries on repair statuses, costs, and timelines.
- Inventory & Tools Management: Ensure tools and equipment are in working condition and maintain appropriate stock levels.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Enforce all health, safety, and environmental protocols to create a safe working environment for the team.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the automotive industry
- Strong technical understanding of automotive systems, repair processes, and maintenance
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team effectively
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic proficiency in relevant software or digital tools (experience with workshop management software is a plus)
