Description:
A multinational Steel Manufacturing and Trading company is looking for a Russian speaking Freight Data Analyst.
Job Location: Dubai.
- Must have work experience in Freight Data and Forecasting.
- Must have experience working on SAP and Power BI
Responsibilities:
- Providing steel and raw materials market overviews, regular and ad-hoc reports;
- Freight market forecasting, market fundamentals analysis (supply-demand balance), monthly and year freight reports data creation and analysis;
- Day-to-day: set and organize data models, search patterns and make conclusions that support decision-making, create predictive models and provide forecasts
Background:
- Mathematics: a solid math education is a big plus for the candidate
- Experience in steel or steel-related industries (raw materials – iron ore, scrap) is desired
- Successful implementation of logistic and/or sea freight logistics projects is preferred
Technical skills:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office – Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint is obligatory
- Knowing and ability to operate MSCI (Morgan Stanley Capital International) World Index, Drewry, Clarkson’s, Baltic Dry Index, Argus Index
- Some experience with Dash, PowerBI (or similar), Cloud services is a plus, but not essential at the beginning
- English fluent is needed with ability for business correspondence and data presentation

- Ability to work out and make conclusions from big volumes of numerical and text information, to analyze large datasets
- Ability to create data presentations and dashboards
