Gallery Assistant Intern

Zawyeh Gallery in Dubai is currently seeking a highly motivated and reliable person for the role of Gallery Assistant Intern. The ideal candidate must be organized, able to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment and be interested in pursuing a career in the arts.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the planning, setup, and teardown of exhibitions and events.
• Help with the installation and arrangement of artwork, ensuring proper handling and care.
• Provide support during exhibition openings, including greeting guests and providing information about the artwork.
• Maintain and organize gallery records, including inventory, artist files, and client databases.
• Assist in the creation and scheduling of social media posts, newsletters, and other marketing materials.
• Assist with sales and provide information on pricing and availability of artwork.
• Help document exhibitions, including photographing installations and creating records for the gallery’s archives.
• Coordinate with vendors, caterers, and other service providers to ensure successful event execution.

Qualifications:

• Strong interest in contemporary art and the art market.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Previous experience in a gallery or museum setting is a plus but not required.
