As Kerzner embarks on this transformative journey, Acre is leading the search to identify a dynamic and experienced professional to join in a newly created role as their Global Director of Sustainability. Based in Dubai, in this pivotal role, you will spearhead the creation, development, and execution of their global sustainability strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, execute and embed the Sustainability strategy and ESG reporting framework for Kerzner International
- Identify the sustainability issues that have the greatest impact across their business and develop a global program of initiatives to minimize their environmental footprint
- Oversee the development and implementation of social impact programs that positively contribute to the local communities where Kerzner International operates properties (One&Only, SIRO and Rare Finds), promote diversity and inclusion, and enhance the well-being of our employees and stakeholders
- Foster and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders, including industry associations, investors, regulatory bodies, and NGOs
- Identify and assess ESG-related risks and opportunities that could impact our brand reputation, operational efficiency, and financial performance
Your mission is to establish a formal framework and integrate sustainability across all facets of their operations, reinforcing their unwavering commitment to environmental sustainability, social impact, and strong governance principles.
To achieve those goals, the following skills and experience will be required:
- A self-starter who is proactive and passionate about creating change with a proven track record of developing, executing and implementing a sustainability strategy across a large complex global business in a senior management role
- In-depth knowledge of environmental sustainability practices, including energy efficiency, waste management, and sustainable procurement
- A proven track record of creating and implementing an ESG framework in a business, and expertise in relevant reporting guidelines with a deep understanding of the global, regional and local ESG/sustainability and decarbonization standards
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills to engage, inspire and influence diverse audiences at different levels of the organization and externally
- Familiarity with social impact initiatives, community engagement strategies, and diversity and inclusion programs
- The ability to travel globally to their destinations on a regular basis.
