One of the largest global apparel manufacturers has engaged in a retained search with us for a critical hire, the global head of manufacturing is designated to be the person to lead the company towards a new chapter of their highly successful journey so far.

With the company now reaching the size that they had set out to achieve, the goal now is to hire an industry leading professional who is able to take charge and lead the apparel industry into a new, exciting and transformational phase.
Key Duties:
- Offer leadership over all manufacturing functions, with over 7 manufacturing plants across Asia, managing a business of over US$600 million
- Be the strategic hub for the company when it comes to manufacturing, industrial engineering and manufacturing excellence, bringing the vision, mission and company strategy to fruition
- Be part of the company’s executive leadership team, implementing the company’s business strategies and goals to ensure long term success
- Take charge in creating and managing a class-leading engineering function, offer innovation in manufacturing process and equipment, be the key driver in the company’s manufacturing sustainability and environmental protection targets
- Set clear targets, goals and objectives for each manufacturing sites to ensure consistency is achieved for class leading performances across SOPs, EH&S, engineering standards, workforce management, Quality Assurance, capacity planning, systems and technologies and diversity & inclusion
- Be part of the company strategy decision making process, provide advice, opinion and direction for the leadership team to steer the business in the right way
- Take charge in managing communications and coordination with local authorities in government affairs which are of relevance to the business
- Be the strategic leader in manufacturing to offer thorough evaluation and analysis on potential expansion into new regions, whether by partnerships, outsourcing, or greenfield factories
Requirements
- Master’s degree or above in engineering, manufacturing, or similar disciple
- Minimum of 15 years experience in executive roles within manufacturing companies, experience leading supply chain, production will be a plus
- Strong knowledge and background in manufacturing across Asia, must have managed large sized manufacturing plants with sizeable labour workforce
- Excellent leadership ability in managing internal and external key stakeholders, become the group’s executive team
