Our client in the Middle East is looking for their next PR and Comms leader to lead their growing team.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership of the marketing & communications team and function to deliver innovative and impactful campaigns that drive awareness, engagement and event attendance.
- Collaboration across cross-functional teams, including integrated marketing, PR, paid digital, social media, experiential & community and creative design.
- Overall client delivery across a diverse portfolio of events and projects.
- Development of comprehensive marketing and communications strategies in alignment with client requirements and objectives.
- Oversee the delivery of the clients marketing and PR strategies to achieve maximum exposure with the right audiences that deliver brand awareness, growth in ticket sales and positive advocacy;
- Provide strategic direction to teams across the broader organization including digital & growth marketing, analytics, creative, and PR/communications to ensure strategic alignment of all marketing plans for the portfolio.
- Lead the development of long-term brand architectures/positionings for each property in the portfolio that will be the foundation of well-defined brand and product propositions.
- Leverage strong relationships with media partners, suppliers and stakeholders to maximise campaign output.
- Monitor and assess campaign performance against key goals and benchmarks, guide on optimisation and ensure delivery of regular reports from team to clients.
- Onsite event leadership and implementation of team responsibilities at numerous key events throughout the event season.
- Champion an environment of transparency, creativity and innovation within the function, supporting each individual in the team.
- Work alongside the Managing Partner to enable growth of the function and optimisation of team and client resource.
- Support business development across workstreams and develop new business opportunities.
Requirements:
- At least 15 years of experience in marketing and communications in leadership role, preferably in the sport and / or entertainment sector, with particular experience of working in MENA.
- Proven success in the implementation of key integrated campaigns, aligned with overall goals and objectives.
- A deep understanding of marketing and communications’ trends, including digital, social and PR best practice.
- Proactive in identifying opportunities and solutions to enhance output and achieve successful results.
- Ability to lead a diverse team, support growth and development and facilitate opportunities to enhance skillsets within the space.
- A marketing visionary with deep experience in leveraging both traditional and innovative marketing tactics.
- Superior leadership skills; demonstrated ability to influence and engage direct and indirect.
- Proficiency in speaking Arabic would be a nice to have.
