Description:
Group Financial Analyst will be assisting the Group FP&A Manager with the following:
- Consolidation process of Financial Closing and Budget Cycles
- Setting up the structure for Management Reporting
- Completion of the implementation of the Consolidation tool
Key responsibilities:
- Monthly closing & consolidation, following International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) in different perspectives: management perspective and banks/statutory perspective. Must have understanding of financial consolidation, necessary eliminations, reconciliations, minority interests
- Assist with intercompany reconciliations (trade flows, loans, dividends…)
- Revise the consistence of the monthly reports shared by all entities of the group - quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
- Assist in identifying areas for improvement and implementing proper controls to achieve more efficiency
- Oversee the accounting operations of subsidiary corporations, especially their control systems, transaction-processing operations, and policies and procedures
- Business Partner of the local finance teams: Explaining, training and correction of the templates defined, and checking the consistence of the data provided by all entities, guaranteeing the month-end and year-end close process
- Keep the Financial Group Standards for Group Reporting: Corporate Chart of Accounts, Expenses Allocations, Common Cost Centre Structure and Financial Statements
- Active participation on ERP’s and Consolidation and Forecasting systems
- Variance analysis
- Assist with consolidation audit
- Visiting group entities (25% travel will be required)
Key Requirements:
- Based in the UAE and willing to stay in the region long term
- Arabic language is a big plus
- Bachelor Degree in Finance & Accountancy as a minimum
- MBA or Professional Accounting Qualification completed or in process is a plus
- 3-5 years’ experience in a Big 4 or similar controlling/analyst role in industry
- Proven experience of Financial Statement and Balance Sheet consolidation; consolidation and analysis in a large group with several legal entities, with presence in different segments and locations
- Bright and self-driven individual, able to challenge the status quo and drive through changes
- Diligent with strong attention to detail
- Strong organization and follow up skills including the ability to handle competing priorities and meet all deadlines and commitments
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
- Able to travel within MENA region
