As the Head of Destination Experiences, you will be responsible for creating memorable and immersive physical experiences within our spaces, enhancing mobility options, and shaping the overall environment. Your role is pivotal in defining and executing placemaking strategies that align with our destinations vision, creating vibrant and inviting spaces that cater to the needs of our community and guests.
Job Scope
Placemaking Strategy:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive placemaking strategy that fosters vibrant and welcoming physical environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
Mobility Enhancement:
- Oversee mobility initiatives, including transportation infrastructure, accessibility, and sustainable transportation options.
- Identify opportunities to improve the mobility experience for visitors and residents.
- Oversees the Yas Express transportation operations.
Public Spaces and Amenities:
- Curate and design public spaces, amenities, and attractions that enhance the overall guest and community experience.
- Collaborate with architects, urban designers, and landscape architects to create inviting and functional spaces.
Community Engagement:
- Engage with the local community and stakeholders to gather feedback and insights for placemaking and mobility improvements.
- Foster partnerships and collaborations to enhance the sense of community within our spaces.
Sustainability and Green Initiatives:
- Integrate sustainable and eco-friendly practices into placemaking and mobility solutions.
- Implement green infrastructure and environmentally conscious design elements.
Budget Management:
- Manage the budget for physical experience, mobility, and placemaking projects, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
To be considered for this role, you will need to have:
Essential
- Bachelor's or master's degree in related field
- Proven experience (5+ years) in placemaking, mobility management, and creating engaging physical experiences within urban environments.
- Strong understanding of urban design principles, sustainable transportation, and placemaking best practices.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in project management and budget oversight.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders and the community.
- Knowledge of sustainability principles and green infrastructure is a plus
