We are seeking applications from qualified, experienced and passionate candidates to be considered for the opening of the Head of Foundation Stage.
- To help lead the school in the policies and practices of continuous school improvement about the Early Years Foundation Stage.
- Responsible for curriculum development, raising standards and enhancing teaching and learning.
- Monitoring of curriculum planning and the giving of feedback and advice as well as assisting and supporting FS teachers with the planning and delivery of a differentiated creative and stimulating curriculum.
- Setting up the assessment criteria for pupils and identifying areas for academic review.
- Supervise and evaluate teachers teaching performance, and conduct class observations.
- To ensure that resources are used effectively.
- Develop and maintain a system of records that will indicate pupil progress and attainment,
- To ensure that the safeguarding policy is followed and the statutory H&S requirements as per KHDA/DHA guidelines are maintained.
- Work closely with the Principal & SLT to develop the disciplinary and expected behaviour and assessment criteria.
- Conduct regular parents workshop to enhance the understanding of parents on the curriculum and relationship building.
- Creating the best learning environments for our children to grow and develop academically, emotionally, physically and socially.
- To identify professional development needs and coordinate staff development programmes to raise levels of achievement.
- Be willing to contribute to the wider curriculum and support the vision of the school.
The successful candidate will combine a track record of highly successful leadership and, preferably having:
- Master’s degree in early childhood education/B.Ed & above and at least 5 years of Foundation stage teaching experience.
- Knowledge of the EYFS curriculum is required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with students, teachers and parents.
- Excellent administrative, organisational, and ICT skills
Duties and Responsibilities:
- To be responsible for the maintenance and submission of staff data both computerized and manual records, ensuring that monthly payroll deadline is met and maintain confidentiality
- To maintain staff records, including sickness, special leave, punctuality, annual leave, other leave, retirement and resignation, grievance and disciplinary matters.
- To operate and manage Staff Reporting system
- Update and maintain staff list and student list
