Our client is a global MNC, listed and a big branded business. As the Head of Legal, you will join an established leadership team to help develop and grow both the business and operations of this sustainability focused business.
The Role
- This is a new role to lead all corpore and commercial activities for business focused activities in Africa.
- The work includes ongoing funding, M&A and JV work as well as aspects of structuring and financing (less so the latter two).
- The legal team will also run day to day operations such as commercial contract review and business request / advice.
- This unique role will also offer you the chance to utilise and enhance business skills by heavily focused on strategy, hiring for your own team and the wider business.
Requirements
- 15 years PQE +
- Based in Kenya, relocation and expat packages offered
- UK / common law qualified - essential
- Mixture of transactional and commercial backgrounds required
- English is the only language requirement
- Ability to work in a fast paced, fluid environment and to understand the cultural differences in Africa - highly desirable
