We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced In House Lawyer for one of our clients a business consultancy firm specializing in the oil and gas industry.

Summary:
The successful candidate will provide legal support, advice, and services to ensure the company’s operations comply with all applicable laws and regulations. This role involves handling a wide range of legal issues, including contracts, compliance, litigation, and regulatory matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts, including joint venture agreements, supply agreements, service contracts, and procurement contracts.
- Ensure that all contracts are legally sound, aligned with company policies, and mitigate risks.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Advise on regulatory issues, including environmental laws, health and safety regulations, and other industry-specific requirements.
- Provide legal advice on corporate governance matters, including board meetings, shareholder meetings, and corporate structure.
- Ensure compliance with corporate laws and regulations.
- Provide legal support for mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
- Conduct due diligence and advise on the legal implications of transactions.
Requirements:
- Must have a Law degree
- Minimum of 5-7 years of legal experience, preferably in the oil and gas industry or a related field.
- Proven experience in contract management, regulatory compliance, and litigation.
- Experience in managing external legal counsel and handling complex legal matters.
- In-depth knowledge of laws and regulations relevant to the oil and gas industry.
- Understanding of corporate governance principles and practices.
- Familiarity with environmental laws and health and safety regulations.
