Job Description:

The HR Specialist is responsible for managing the day-to-day functions of human resources and payroll processing within an organization. This role involves supporting HR functions such as employee relations, and benefits administration, while ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for all employees.

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Administration:

  • Process and manage payroll on monthly basis.
  • Ensure timely and accurate payroll calculation for salaried and hourly employees, including deductions, overtime, adjustment and etc.
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with tax laws, statutory requirements, and company policies.
  • Process and manage employee benefits, including pensions, health insurance, and any other company-provided benefits.
  • Respond to employee payroll inquiries, including discrepancies and adjustments.

HR Functions:

  • Maintain employee records and ensure data is up to date in the HR system.
  • Assist in administering performance reviews and disciplinary actions.
  • Help maintain employee policies, handbooks, and documentation.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR initiatives and programs to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure payroll and HR processes comply with legal regulations, including labor laws, tax laws, and health and safety regulations.
  • Prepare and submit reports on payroll and HR metrics (e.g., headcount, turnover, absenteeism).
  • Assist with audits and external reporting requirements, such as tax filings and statutory contributions.

4. Employee Benefits & Welfare:

  • Manage employee benefits programs, including health and wellness benefits, leave entitlements, and pension plans.
  • Provide guidance to employees regarding benefits options, entitlements, and claims.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an HR and/or Payroll Officer or similar HR role.
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll processes, and UAE labor laws.
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices
  • Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
