In-house Accountant

 

Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced, self-driven, and innovative In-House Accountant who is an expert in QuickBooks to manage all our in-house accounting functions. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in UAE VAT and tax regulations. The successful candidate will take ownership of financial processes, continuously seek improvements, and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

QuickBooks Management:

 

1. Expertly manage and maintain the company’s QuickBooks accounting software.

 

2. Accurately input all financial transactions, including inward and outward movements, ensuring the integrity of financial data.

 

3. Conduct regular account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.

 

4. Financial Reporting:

 

5. Prepare detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including Profit & Loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

 

6. Provide management with insightful financial reports, analyses, and recommendations.

 

7. Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets and financial forecasts.

 

VAT & Tax Compliance:

 

- Ensure full compliance with UAE VAT regulations, including the preparation and submission of VAT returns.

- Oversee the calculation and payment of corporate taxes and other statutory obligations.

- Stay updated with changes in UAE tax laws and ensure the company’s compliance.

 

Accounts Payable & Receivable:

 

- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.

- Monitor and manage cash flow and ensure the company’s financial liquidity.

 

General Ledger & Reconciliations:

 

- Maintain the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions.

- Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements, credit card accounts, and other financial accounts.

 

Audit Preparation & Liaison:

 

- Prepare for internal and external audits, ensuring that all financial records are accurate and complete.

- Serve as the primary point of contact for auditors, providing all necessary documentation and information.

 

Process Improvement & Innovation:

 

- Continuously assess and improve accounting processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

- Drive innovation in financial practices, identifying and implementing new tools, techniques, and approaches.

- Proactively address challenges and provide creative solutions to improve financial management.

 

Communication & Collaboration:

 

- Communicate financial information effectively across all levels of the organization

- Collaborate closely with other departments to provide financial insights and support business decisions.

- Provide training and support to team members on financial procedures and the use of QuickBooks.

 

Qualifications:

 

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role using QuickBooks.
