Description:
We are seeking skilled and experienced Freelance Mechanical Inspection Engineers to join our team for assignments in the Middle East region. This role involves performing quality inspections and ensuring adherence to standards for mechanical equipment used in the oil, gas, power, and fertilizer industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections of static equipment such as pressure vessels, heat exchangers, columns, and storage tanks.
- Inspect rotating equipment including pumps, blowers, compressors, and agitators.
- Evaluate valves, bulk items (e.g., plates, pipes, tubes, castings, and forgings) to ensure compliance with standards.
- Verify adherence to national and international codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API, ASTM) for inspection activities.
- Perform Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) including RT, UT, PT, MT, and VT as per ASNT Level II requirements.
- Prepare comprehensive inspection reports and documentation in line with client specifications.
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements as per company and client protocols.
- Support quality assurance processes and adhere to customer quality expectations.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience as an Inspection Engineer with a Third-Party Inspection Agency (TPIA) or in QA/QC roles in a manufacturing unit.
- Certifications:
- Mandatory: ASNT Level II in RT, UT, PT, MT, VT.
- Preferred: AWS, CSWIP, BGAS, or NACE Level II.
- Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of inspection processes and methodologies.
- Proficient in interpreting and applying national and international standards.
- Strong reporting and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
