Job Requirements

Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

 

  • Participate in a highly qualified and versatile team, working within a matrix organization, including assisting mentoring, training and other human talent development.
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Prepare estimates and schedules of work from inception to completion of projects
  • Prepare scopes of work, work packages, stage gate criteria, and other project execution components.
  • Development of designs, drawings and calculations with input from senior staff.

· Instrument Specification and data sheets.

· Instrument Installation details like Process hook‐ups, Pneumatic hook‐up drawings, tubing connections etc. working out BOM for bulk Procurement Items like fittings, cable, trays etc.

· Instrument Specification sheets (ISS) of transmitters; control Valves, Safety Valves etc.

· Instrument location, writing and cabling and cable tray layout drawings.

Control Loop and measurements loop sketches for DCS and filed instruments connection.

  • Management, review and checking of work assigned to junior engineering and drafting staff.
  • Development of specifications, system and component selection, design drawings and calculations against layouts, one line diagrams, control schematics, wiring distribution schemes, HMI and PLC systems, etc.
  • Lead in the design of the physical layout and architecture of instrumentation schemes, equipment, and functional plans related to the various facilities within the plant.
  • Lead of the development of instrumentation and control systems, bills of material and capital cost estimates.
  • Selection and planning of the instrumentation and controls systems for oil and gas, petrochemical facilities.
  • Previous experience in field inspection and acceptance testing of field devices, and control systems is an asset.
  • Work on designs consistent with Code requirements and advanced design criteria.
  • Work with internal processes consistent with corporate standards and policies, and also a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Issue reports, drawings and other documents as directed/required.
  • Develop technical bid tabulation to support the selection of instrumentation equipment.
  • Develop documents for instrumentation, control valves, pressure safety valves, control system purchase orders.
  • Assist in the development of project schedules and manpower requirements.
  • Review and checking of technical vendor submittals for installation requirements.
  • Work in a multinational team environment
  • Develop the skills of junior and intermediate engineers and designers.
  • Discuss design detail and strategies with our clients
  • Develop professional relationships with our clients for continued growth
  • Complies to and promotes the standards and procedures of the company Health and Safety manual and Occupational Health and Safety regulations.

 

 

Education and Experience Required:

  • BS or licensure and equivalent experience, PEng preferred.
  • 10+ years experience.

Skills Required:

  • Working knowledge of BS and IEC Standards and International Codes.
  • Effective computer skills; Microsoft Office software, Fisher Specification Manager, Farris Size Master and other Company and discipline specific software applications.
  • Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing with superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the Company.
