Description:
Responsibilities include technical development, design, support of existing Data warehouse, Power BI reports, dashboards and Adhoc Reports (SSRS), Issue management of BI and analytic solutions, transforming data into valuable insights.
Key Performance Indicators:
Timely completion of projects\task assigned.
Ability to independently handle complex situations.
Principle Accountabilities:
- Involved in managing Large SQL Server environments.
- Involved in analysing SQL Server Performance issues and index design and T-SQL Performance tuning techniques.
- In depth knowledge of database administration and data management to analyse complex issues and implement appropriate solution and optimize processes.
- Involved in advanced query design, stored procedures, views, and functions.
- To understand business requirements in the BI context and design data models.
- To create Adhoc reports (Report Builder), dashboards and interactive reports using Power BI.
- Identify KPI with clear objectives and monitor them consistently.
- Able to convert business requirements into technical specifications and decide the timeline to accomplish tasks.
- Involved in writing complex Dax queries and knowledge about Power Query.
- To make technical changes to existing BI systems to enhance their functioning.
- To provide Help Desk / End User Support across all Damas offices and stores.
Education and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering/ Computer Science or relevant field
- Background in data warehouse design (preferably relational modeling, dimensional modeling is an added advantage) and data mining.
- In-depth understanding of database management systems, OLAP and ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) framework.
- Knowledge of SQL Queries, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS).
- Knowledge of BI Technologies (preferably Power BI and SSRS).
