It Systems Engineer

This role has an extensive reach and must have a self-motivated individual with excellent critical thinking and risk-based approach over technology and operational/market risk matters. Role attributes:

- Design, implement, optimize and support office, network and server infrastructure;

- Maintain, update and create monitoring tools and dashboards;

- Ensure infrastructure meets internal demands of performance, resilience and stability;

- (physical) Installation, setup and update of desks, screens, desktops servers and network components at the company’s office.

- (physical) Installation, setup and update of servers and network components at the company’s Data Centers.

- Maintenance and creation of technical documentation related to every day operations, system configurations

and system upgrades;

- Ensure internal policies and best practices are implemented throughout the infrastructure;

- Collaborate with IT teams in the region to create standards, policies and work methods;

- Collaborate with IT staff and end-users to resolve issues and improve environment;

- Liaise with vendors and external parties to meet company targets and requirements

 

 

Requirements:

- Qualifications in Computer Science, IT engineering or Technology with strong academic results;

- Strong knowledge in Data Centre management and monitoring;

- Strong project management and execution skills;

- Strong knowledge in network troubleshooting and optimization, preferably in low latency environments;

- Strong knowledge in multicast environments;

- Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux admin and troubleshooting techniques, including on

RedHat/Centos/Ubuntu;

- Strong working knowledge of Active Directory, VMWare, DNS;

- Strong knowledge in hardware network devices: Cisco OS (ASA, IOS), Arista (EOS) and security;

- Experience in automation and scripting (shell scripting, PowerShell, Ansible);

- Professional working proficiency English
