Junior Accountant required
As a Junior Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting our finance department by assisting with various accounting tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or entry-level professional to gain hands-on experience in the field of accounting while working in a supportive and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Data Entry: Accurately record financial transactions in the company’s accounting system, including invoices, expenses, and receipts.
- Reconciliation: Assist in reconciling financial discrepancies by verifying and correcting data and report any irregularities to senior accountants.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage the accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring all payments are made on time and invoices are collected promptly.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial records.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare basic financial reports and statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Budget Tracking: Assist in tracking and monitoring budgetary compliance and variances.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain the general ledger and ensure it is up-to-date and accurate.
- Audit Support: Assist during financial audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and internal policies.
- Ad-Hoc Tasks: Support senior accountants and finance managers in various ad-hoc financial tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Knowledge of UAE tax laws and regulations is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proactive and self-motivated with a willingness to learn and grow in the field of accounting and taxation.
