Description:
We are looking for an ambitious Junior Accountant who we can rely on to manage daily accounting tasks such as posting journal entries, preparing financial statements, and maintaining accounts, receivables, or payables.
STARTING DATE: Immediate Start
Responsible for the general accounting function including preparing journal entries, maintaining balance sheet schedules and ledgers and account and back reconciliations. Assisting with monthly closings and account analysis and supporting senior accountant in carrying out the responsibilities of the accounting department.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Post and process the journal entries to make sure that all transactions have been recorded.
- Update the account receivables on a daily basis and issue invoices.
- Update the accounts payable on a daily basis and perform reconciliations.
- Assist the team in the preparation of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines
- Compile statistical, financial, accounting or auditing reports and tables pertaining to such matters as cash receipts, expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, and profits and losses
- Experienced in working with software including Microsoft Excel, Quickbooks, Zoho Books and Tally
- Reconcile or note and report discrepancies found in records
- Assist senior accountants in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings.
- Assist with other accounting projects as needed.

REQUIREMENTS :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance or relevant field
- At least 2 year experience as a junior accountant
- Knowledge of local, state and federal laws regarding accounting, finances and taxation
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA is a plus but not required
