Our team currently has an opening for a Junior Urban Designer who will bring a passion for creativity, storytelling, artistry, and positive energy to our Dubai design studio. The ideal candidate will have a creative mindset and problem-solving skills with strong graphics and software acumen and be passionate about their role in the design of better cities.
Responsibilities
- Contributing with the design team in their preparing of development control regulations, urban design guidelines, masterplanning reports and other related planning and urban design standards for master planning and urban development projects.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the underlying spatial arrangements that give form and character to urban areas via the relationship between built and open spaces.
- Demonstrating an understanding of the production techniques, procedures, and standards related to urban planning and design projects.
- Excellent concept design, detail design and visualization skills
- Ability to assist in the development of design options and urban frameworks in collaboration with the rest of the design team in a multi-disciplinary design environment
- Ability to work effectively and contribute to a friendly and collaborative team environment
- Being proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to take initiative in response to direction from project leads

Qualifications
- A professional degree in urban design, architecture and/or landscape design
- 2+ years post-qualification experience in urban design from a multi-disciplinary design environment
- Be design orientated with creative flair
- Knowledge of advanced software programs (Rhino, Grasshopper, City Engine, Dynamo, Revit, GIS) would be highly advantageous
